ATIKAN: Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan (Journal of Educational Studies), with ISSN 2088-1290, was firstly published on June 1, 2011 in the context to commemorate the birthday of Pancasila (Five Basic Principles of the Republic of Indonesia)’s name. The ATIKAN journal has jointly been organized by the Lecturers of FKIP UNSUR (Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Suryakancana University) in Cianjur, since issue of June 2012 to date; and by the Lecturers of FPOK UPI (Faculty of Sport and Health Education, Indonesia University of Education) in Bandung, since issue of December 2014 to date; and published by Minda Masagi Press as a publisher owned by ASPENSI (the Association of Indonesian Scholars of History Education) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The ATIKAN journal is published twice a year i.e. every June and December.

Teknologi Komunikasi dan Maklumat dalam Program Pendidikan Khas Aliran Teknik dan Vokasional di Malaysia

IKHTISAR: Kajian ini bertujuan meninjau sejauhmana penerimaan dan penggunaan komputer dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran pelajar dan guru Sekolah Pendidikan Khas. Responden bagi kajian ini adalah terdiri daripada guru-guru dan pelajar Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas Vokasional di Shah Alam (Selangor), Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas Vokasional di Indah Pura Kulai (Johor), dan Sekolah Menengah Teknik di Batu Pahat (Johor). Sampel kajian ini melibatkan 55 orang guru, 117 pelajar, dan borang soal selidik telah digunakan untuk mengumpul data dalam kaedah tinjauan ini. Data dari soal selidik dianalisis dengan menggunakan Statistical Package for Social Science 11.3 for Windows (SPSS) untuk mendapatkan skor min, peratusan, dan sisihan piawai. Keputusan menunjukkan bahawa guru menerima dan menggunakan komputer dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran; manakala pelajar adalah sebaliknya. Melalui ujian ANOVA, tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara pelajar di setiap sekolah berkaitan dengan penerimaan dan penggunaan komputer dalam proses pembelajaran. Oleh itu, beberapa cadangan telah dibuat untuk meningkatkan penerimaan dan penggunaan komputer dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran di Sekolah Pendidikan Khas di Malaysia. Antaranya ialah guru sepatutnya sentiasa peka terhadap perkembangan teknologi terkini serta menyertai kursus tentang penggunaan komputer agar dapat mempelbagaikan teknik pengajaran.

KATA KUNCI: Teknologi komunikasi dan maklumat, pendidikan vokasional, guru dan murid, serta penggunaan komputer dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran.

ABSTRACT: “Information and Communication Technology in the Special Education Program of Technical and Vocational School in Malaysia”. This study aims to explore the extent of acceptance and use of computers in teaching and learning by students and teachers from Special Education School. Respondents for this study are composed of teachers and students from Vocational Special Education Secondary School in Shah Alam (Selangor), Vocational Special Education Secondary School in Pura Indah Kulai (Johor), and Technical Secondary School in Batu Pahat (Johor). The sample of this study involved 55 teachers, 117 students, and a questionnaire was used to collect data in survey method. Data from the questionnaires were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science 11.3 for Windows (SPSS) to obtain mean score, percentage, and standard deviation. The results show that teachers receive and use the computers in teaching and learning; while the student is otherwise. By ANOVA, there was no significant difference between students in every school in connection with the receipt and use of computers in the learning process. Thus, several proposals have been made to increase the acceptance and use of computers in teaching and learning at Special Education Schools in Malaysia. Among them are the teachers should always be aware of the latest technological developments and participate in courses on the use of computers in order to diversify teaching techniques.
